Need help with Samsung HDTV

I have a Samsung DLP.  I believe the model number is 5063.  I have only had this unit a little over a year and a half and don't use it that much.  When I use it on high-def channels, the picture is perfect but when I switch to analog channels the picture has a black vertical stripe down the middle, splitting the picture into two, and the picture halves are reversed (the right side of the picture is on the left side of the screen and vice versa).  Like I said, the high-def picture is perfect so I don't know what it could be so any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I have seen this problem on

I have seen this problem on two differant Samsung DLP sets about a year or so ago.  The sets was under warranty, so A freind of mine who is Samsung authorized and I went out to the customers homes with the Samsung service kits in hand.  First set we tryed the DMD-P board, same problem.  Took out that board and tried the Digital processor PCB, great picture in all modes.  Next TV set we tryed anoither Digital board, same problem, tryied another DMD-P board, set was fixed.  So both sets with the same problem had two differant faults.  Each one of these PCB cost about 350 to 360 just for the boards and are not exchangable or repairable.  I looked at the schematic and all it had was a block diagram for the boards.  I would have to advise you to call out an authorized Samsung repair shop to have the set serviced, unless you want to take the chance of buying the wrong boards.  Good Luck and please keep us informed of this repair.

Well it's been two weeks.

Well it's been two weeks.  Right after I got your response my son went in to play on the PS2 and I told him it probably wouldn't work.  I turned it on and all the channels worked perfectly.  Haven't had a problem since then.  I just hope maybe this was a problem with the cable lines or something and not something serious.  Thanks for the help.
