Hitachi VM-E53A

Hi I'm trying to repair a Hitachi camcorder. It works fine all but the eye piece. It doesn't seem to be getting power to the eyepiece but if you connect it to a television the screen shows the picture. Anyone had this problem or have any suggestions or schematics? Thanks
