If the machine cannot read a commercial disc, most likely the optics are fried or the processing board is toast. It is possible also, that the spindle motor (the one that spins the disc) is starting to fail. If the disc does not come up to speed fast enough, the mechanism will signal failure. How old is the machine?
IT IS PART OF A SET OF FOUR SEPARATE UNITS I;E CD RECIEVER ,CASSETTE DECK AND MINIDISC RECORDER AND IT WAS THE LAST UNIT I PURCHASED I HAVE ONLY HAVE USED IT A COUPLE OF TIMES SINCE NEW.
Hi ztec,
Does it work if you insert a commercial CD (non-blank disc)?
HELLO MATT NO I STILL GET THE SAME MESSAGE (DISC ERROR).
