Samsung HC-P4754w

The colors are off.   I had 2 new STK 392-10 chips installed by a friend and then I messed around a little in the grid settings from pressing mute then 183 and I made it worse.   I am not qualified.   I think me trying to adjust through the grid before chips were replaced may have caused problems.  So this TV needs work.   It works but colors are off.

Your going to need to get a

Your going to need to get a service manual, and go through the entire set alighnment. Tou can go here and search or call them as I do not see your model number.  Double check it and go HERE to find it. Time and time again, I see this problem.  A set up menu should not be tampered with unless you have a service manual, write down all of the values that each adjustment is on and then alot of time.  There is not a master reset on this TV set or anything like that.  You could find another set and check what the settings are set to and this would give you a ball park for the settings, but every TV set will be differant.  If the convergence goes out all of a suddenly, the convergence alighnment will not help you.  Those alighnment are there for gradual drifting not sudden misalighnment.  Hopefully you did not make the set landfill as I have seen this happen a few times too.  Good Luck and remember a service menu alighnment is there for the service personel, not experimenters.  Let us know how you make out with this TV set.

Yes it is possible byr

Yes it is possible byr dangerous.  Make sure you do not touch any control or adjustments that have nothing to do with the convergence alighnment unless you need to adjust vertical and horizontal centering, height and lin.

Just so you know the actual

Just so you know the actual model number is HC-P4752W... I am up in the air about doing this myself... I am very tempted to just call in a tv repairman and have him do it... My main concern is this... if I mess this up do i have to scrap the tv or do i just have to replace a board...? And you say dangerous like i have to get into the tv and not just go thru the menu on the screen.

No you do not have to go into

No you do not have to go into the TV set but there are certain adjustments that can be done that will make your set junk. Not worth repairing.
