Sony KP-53v75 reddish color

HI everyone. I own a 53" sony CRt tv. I love this set other than i can't seem to get the red or as my wife says pinkish color to go away. The whites have a pinkish tone that i just can't get rid of. Maybe it's just my imagination, but just when i think i got it, when i shut it off and turn it back on, the next day, the pink is back. Watched the three stooges which is in black and white, not on my set .....it was black and pinkish white. Also if you look real closely, theres a 4" thick horizontal pinkish line across the bottom of the screen, though not very noticeable. Are there any adjustments that i can make in the set my self? I love this set and would like to keep it , just not  with the pink. Thanx
