After switch on,picture stays only for a few seconds and then screen goes blank as if the flyback Tx collapsed.On switching off and switch on,picture comes back but again only for a few seconds.Sound is ok.
Your going to need a service manual and check the Hi voltage shutdown circuit and the power supply over voltage circuit. You did not mention if you still had sound or not. If you do, I would check the Hi Voltage shutdown circuit for a fault there or in the sweep power supply. If the sound goes out also, check the main power supply regulation circuit. If you have no TV repair experience, call in a trained tech to assist you in this repair as this has no quickie fix. Good luck and let us know how you made out with this repair.
