I have an RCA D52w20b HDTV rear projection monitor, chassis ITC222, produced in June of 2005. This evening while watching the super bowl, I heard a snap or pop sound and the screen immediatly looked like it had a bow in it, and the red color was a shadow (off to the left as you look at it by an inch or so).
I have tried google, but I am no genius when it comes to electronics. What is the problem, or at least a good enough guess so that I can contact a professional and not get ripped off?

You have a convergence power supply problem or the convergence IC's are bad in the TV set. Depending on the problem, be prpared to spend at least 300 bucks or more for the repair of this TV set.Good Luck, and let us know how you made out with this repair.
