Hi,
I have a phillips 60 inch and a large box appears after watching tv.......perhaps a half an hour after turning it on. The only way to get it off is to shut the tv off. I have been reading the other suggestions, however I do not have the original phillips remote that came with it and can not bring up the menu items on the television. I purchased a universal phillips remote and still can not access the cc features, etc.
any suggestions appreciated

Go purchase an original philips remote for the set that has the CC feature button on it or continue to enjoy watching the black box.
