I have a 6 month old Magnovox TV that recently has lost it's picture, with the exception of the channel and stereo settings being visible. The sound quality is the same as well. Any ideas on fixing this without bringing it in for repairs?

If it is six months old, it is still under warranty. A model and type would be nice to know.
He's under parts warranty, not labor.
magnavox tube model 20mt4405/1. and yes, it is under parts only. just wanted to see if there was a quicker remedy for someone with limited free time
Nope, and there are a few scenarios with this set. This model might fall under the new category of junk out in the field or it may be an exchange or it's repairable. In the first two categories, you would pay a labor charge and then get a new set in exchange. In the last category, you'll have to pay shop labor to repair it and I doubt the set is worth what the shop labor charges would be to fix it.
