Pic Bleeding

HI Guys, i have this RCA CTC197AH,CHASSIS F27680GY, is running goood exept a bit red bleeding, which i can take out just by reducing the color or adding more contrast,it's not tube because i used in it other chassis and no bleeding.Could it be

Red driver, red bufer,or one of the clamps or one of the resistors what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

It is most likely something

It is most likely something in the red drive if you tryed a differant chassis. Most likely a lower voltage on the picture tube then there should be or a low luminunce going to the tube.  Take a scope, with an isolation transformer, and see what Peak to peak video your getting from the jungle IC with a standard color bar generator on the differant R G B outputs from the jungle IC.   If they are all about the same, you will need a manual to see what the differant voltages on the CRT board should be.  Good Luck

I wish i had all that test

I wish i had all that test gear but the only thing i have is a DDM. ESR, soldering gear and my skils that i've learned throu studing and my intuition and love for electronics, Thanks in advance.I had this tip what you think?.  Sympton is characterized by the presence of red, cyan, green, magenta, blue or yellow colour in a supposedly plain white raster. proper colour reproduction cannot be expected if the raster is coloured.
this symptom is caused by a poor white balance adjustment of by a trouble in the CRT, colour amplifier, color demodulation or colour output circuits.
if the raster has a tint of red or cyan, check the R-Y output circuits and the first grid, second grid and cathode circuits of the red electron gun.

Hi Larry I turned down the red bias and the bleeding goes away, but it seems that after awhile of beeing on gets kind a vertical 4"band verticaly and pic fads away and i have to unplug it from the wall, and only turns back on after, i let it sit for some time, i suspect this type of set senses this change in the bias and turns off the high voltage,i say this because sound never goes a way i can here channel changing,What you think thanks.

Sounds like a bad picture

Sounds like a bad picture tube.  But I think you should check the HI voltage on the tube at differant times.  Maybe the HI voltage block has a fault in it.  Compare the G1, G2 and drive voltages from the green and blue to the red.
