Can anyone help? I am trying to connect my 360 to My Phillips LCD, My Lcd does not have any coloured component hole in it however it does have a DVI-D port.
My 360 has a HD lead with the component plugs, I cannot seem to find any kind of converter/ connector for it.
DVI-D is DIGITAL ONLY... the ONLY way to make a HD component output work with a DVI-D input is with a $250 or so converter box. When you use a VGA to DVI ADAPTER the signal is still analog, the digital signal section of the DVI connector is simply NOT USED. To change a pure analog signal to a pure digital signal requires an active CONVERSION of the signal.
VGA to DVI/HDMI CONVERTERS are very expensive and offers very little to no improvment in quality and really the only benifit is fixed pixels. Check this site out. http://800stereohometheater.stores.yahoo.net/adadviff.html Good Luck, I hope this helps. Let us know how you made out with this.
I am confused my TV is HD ready so why can I not use my 360 on it?
You can. But if you only have a DVI-D port, you will need an adaptor
any idea what that adaptor is called and where might get one?
look around at the link I left for you above
