1. Press Menu, then go to "Delete File" and choose music file. Select the file you want to delete, and all should be well. This will be the hardest way to do it, I'd recommend options 2, 3, or 4.
2. Connect the player to any Windows XP/2000/Vista computer, and you should be able to navigate to the files you wish to delete through Windows Explorer and delete them.
3. If the files are copy protected, you may only be able to remove them using Windows Media Player 10 or above. Connect the player to the pc, launch Windows Media Player, and go to "Sync". You should see all the music on your player in the right hand pane. Find the files you want to delete, and remove them.
4. Reformat the player, but first backup your music. Connect to a PC, and in My Computer, right click the device and select "Format". Change the option to FAT (not FAT32), and begin. This will wipe the player and let you begin fresh.
