Hi,
I bought my daughter a 2.4ghz General Electric Cordless Handset Phone, 21028.
The time alloted for a caller to leave a message is about 3 seconds. It worked fine the first few days, and now it cuts everyone off. I don't see anything in the manual to fix this. Any thoughts?

Has your daughter been deleting the messages after she listens to them? I know it's a simplistic question, but it's important to cover the basics first!

Thanks for responding. Yes, she did delete all of her messages from the machine.
It's a strange problem, so my first instinct is that the machine is defective. Here's the best advice I can give you, since this is going to be pretty tough to diagnose without having the product in hand:
1. Call GE customer support. If this is a problem they've heard of, they may be able to help you.
2. Unplug the answering machine, and/or try doing a reset if such an option exists for your product.
3. Return the answering device for replacement or refund.
