I have a aerial problem, I think. Horizontal black lines, one thicker than the other, start at top & bottom, converge, pass each other to end & then repeat. Also lots of fuzz, worse at lower vhf channels. Have connected other set to aerial input with same results, rabbit ears are better!
Antenna is 6' rooftop w/ roter and amp. connections appear solid. Any suggestions??
That sounds like noise is being introduced into the antenna wire. The biggest thing that causes this is bad sheild or grounf connections at the fittings. Could also be a bad balum transformer up at the antenna end. What I when I see a problem like this is replace all of the fittings first at the end of the wires. If that does not help, inspect the wires and balum and the antenna for rust or cut wires. Good Luck, and let us know how you made out.
Larry,
Replaced 2 suspect connectors....perfect. Thx a lot.
