I recently purchased a older Philips TV (PA5032C102) from a trade show company. It is in very good condition, however, I cannot figure out how to get it out of commecial mode. The remote cannot call up a menu to do that. I was told there is a sequence that needs to be done with the basic controls in front of the TV. (ie. up volume, down channel...)
All the remote can do is turn on the tv and turn up and down the volume and in the corner of the screen it says "VHS"
Is this set just a monitor, or is there a tuner built in to it? Also it sounds like you may have a universal remote. I seen online, there is a special remote for this unit. How many inouts does this set have. I have a couple of Philips user manual, but not this model. All the ones I have, do not have a built in tuner and several types of inputs , like RCA, S video, scart, RGB, ect. If that is the case, You may need an original replacement type remote.
