i am having trouble getting the camcorder to load a tape. when i put in a tape the camcorder will load the tape but as soon as i take out the tape it will close the door as it should. does anyone have advise to help me figure this out.

This is a fairly common problem with the units of this vintage. This is not a problem that shoud be done by anyone not familiar with camcorders. This problem can be caused by a number of reasons.
