You will need to know how to solder and unsolder well. You will also need or should get the Service Manual so you can order the exact replacement parts. According to Samsung, the entire board is no longer available for this set, as I was going to suggest to replace the entire board for 80 bucks. Also Do NOT install any after maket type IC's in this TV set, as if you do you will be in the same boat a few months down the road. Do not forget to add plenty of heat sink compound on the IC before you reinstall the New IC. OH yes, one more thing. You really should replace both of the convewrgence IC's at the same time. Biggest thing is to be carefull, and double check all of your work before plugging in the TV set for solder bridges, slash overs, plug and sockets to make sure they are all in flush and evenly. If you have no soldering experience, please seek the assistance of a trained tech to assist you with this repair.
Hi, wondering if you guys can help the firehouse with a covergence problem. The TV is a Samsung HCM4215W. We have replaced the convergence board (this has the two IC chips on them) with BP95-00142E form partstore.com, with no change. We have run the "perfect focus" with no luck either, now a "No Sensor Data" message is appearing when we try to use the "perfect focus". I am having another convergence board sent to me, hoping that the board we got initally is defective. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks
