connecting laptop to tv

hello. i have a phillips HD ready tv.

i want to connect my laptop to the tv. my laptop only has a VGA output.

my tv doesnt accept a VGA connection, only a DVI (on the pc) to HDMI (on the tv)

 so how can i connect them together when i dont have a DVI output on my laptop?? do i need a VGA-DVI adapter plug (that will plug into my laptop), then get a DVI-HTMI cable to plug from the adapter to the TV?

any advice?
