I have a mitsubishi ws-55511 that was working great with no problems, next day went to turn it on and no power from remote or button. Unplugged and hit reset and green light flashed but nothing happens when button is pressed. Is there something I should look for, I heard this problem before but no solutions. Is there a board I can replace? Any help will be apreciated.
I checked the fuses and are OK and also read that they have a code and it read that it was code 12 if that helps. Thanks
It could be a coolent leak on or around the signal board thats causing your problem my freind, I have seen it a few times with this model. Look for a thin film of liquid or an oily substance on the board, on or around the base of anyone of the CRT's. I have also found that that when this problem happens, the 24 volt line is being held low because of a bad vertical output IC, and or a convergence IC. You can download a service manual to assist you in this repair, go to link below. Good Luck, and let us know how you make out with this repair. http://www.servicemanuals.net/results...
I have been doing alot of research and talked to a few people who experienced the same problem and was told that it was the 4 capacitors on the dm module. I am going to give it a shot and try and change them myself.
