Trouble with blue glow?

Hello, I am a new member.  This looks like a great forum for a condition I am trying to understand and possibly improve.  I own a Panasonic PT-47X54 CRT, Rear Projection HDTV Monitor.  I bought this two years ago but have always had this condition.  It appears only with certain DVDs.  I can't say I've ever seen it while watching a TV broadcast or HD broadcast.

The Eagles "Hell Freezes Over" dvd for example.  In certain lighting conditions on the stage, the lights have a blue haze around them and on the objects they are lighting.  The keys of a dimmly lit piano keyboard appear to be glowing a hazy blue, not white.  Their blue-jeans will glow blue in some cases.

Another example, not that I expect anyone to have seen it, but in "Finding Nemo", the Walt Disney Pixar Animated movie,  Dori the blue fish, glows blue, the edges of the shape are not crisp or well defined.  It's as if the blue is bleeding into the background somewhat.

Is this a common problem with Rear CRT projection sets?

I have watched both dvds on Plasmas and the blue glow is gone.  The Eagles dvd looks completly different, the stage lighting looks natural.  I recently changed my dvd player (panasonic S52S) and it's a little better.  I've done all the convergence adjustments, played with the picture adjustments but no significant improvements.

Can anyone clue me in on this situation?  Thanks!

Common problem?  You have 2

Common problem?  You have 2 DVD's that give a rather oddball symptom.  This is something in the engineering between that set and how it interprets the signal coming from those 2 discs.  I wouldn't even worry about it.
