I have these cross over vertical lines almost unoticable, just on brighter settings are more noticable just on the DVI cables (not component video) and on 1080i, (not on 740p ). Any body Has these or heard about the HDPT service menu fix?
Silva, You have to reduce the screen control for the TV set, as one of the tubes maybe going bad, and eventually, the set will intermittanly shut down because of this . Keep the brightness low and contrast high. If it looks washed out when you adjust like this, there could be a picture tube issue, or B+ feed capacitor that feeds the voltage to the driver transistors on the CRT board. I have this since i installed the dvi cables ,one only notice it when change the channel when black screen in between channels it all ways had it looks like intreference from other source or the cables are are not so good.

The Sony KV 36HS500 it's a HD one tube set .
