Problems recording with Olympus Camedia C770

I've been having big problems recording MPEG movies with my C770.  I record some video and then when I try to play it back I get a "picture error" and cannot look at the file.  I try transferring it to the computer but cannot open it there either.  In fact, on the computer when I try to look at the file details it shows that the file size is 0.  Any ideas?
