Hello....hope someone can help me. My son took a huge magnet and ran it over 2 or our tv screens several times each (cause it was making pretty colors when he did that
) I didn't notice till after he quit playing with the magnet that he disturbed the color of the tv everywhere he touched the magnet to the tv's. In those places it is sometimes a sickly green color....or sometime red....sometimes yellow.....etc.....depending on what color is actually suppose to be under the ones not suppose to be there. I was hoping that with time it would cure itself, but it's been 3 days now and with the holidays coming up I am hoping that I will not have to spend *santas* money stash on buying new tv's for the house. Any help will be greatly appreciated & that's in advance!!!!!

Simply unplug the sets that are affected for overnight(12 hours or so). Replug them in and see if some of the colors go away. If they do, keep doing this till it clears up. If it does not have any effect, there is a problem in the automatic deguassing circuit. Thats the curcuit in the TV set that demagnatizes the picture tube. Hope this helps.
