My BUSH TV spontainiously "streched" the picture whilst watching a dvd on the playstation. It has remained stretched and now am unable to view entire chanel information bar. I have tried adjusting the television settings none of which have made a difference. What am I doing wrong?
Have you tried checking your Playstation 2 settings? If you have a Widescreen TV, you should enable the 16:9 mode in your Playstation 2 DVD player setup menu.

Playstation set to 16:3. Has made no change to the screen. Unplugged playstation from TV. No change. Any other suggesstions? Its driving me mad. Everyone is all squat and subtitles are going off to the sides.
