Hi there,
I have a Bush 18" tv that i bought 6 months ago, ever since ive had it when i switch it on after a minute or 2 it will begin to cycle through the channels consecutively. It cycles through them at a rate of 2 or 3 a second so i can rule out nother signal nearby as no-one can press there channel button tht quick!! When it stops i press back to the channel i was watching but it just keeps happening. Let me give an example., im watching channel 1 and this things starts happening and flicks all the way upto number 27, i then click back to channel 1 and then it starts flicking again, but from channel number 28, not from channel 2, pretty weird! I understand this is a pretty strange thing to happen but if anyone has any ideas on what it could be or how it can be solved please let me know, many thanks for your help.
When this problem starts to happen, take the batteries out of the remote control and see it it stops. If it does not, then you know its not the remote with a shorted button. If it does stop then of course you know the remote has had something spilt inside the remote, or a sticking button. With the TV off, feel how the front channel up and down buttons feel. Do they all have the same type of feeling? Do they all move the same with a small clicking type feeling? If the channel up or down button feels differant, then maybe the button is stuck.. BVut if it is only six months old, Call the store where you purchaced it from and see about the warranty. Good Luck, and please let us know how you made out, as maybe it will help someone else in the future.
Hi there,
Thanks for your advice larry, it was certainly something i hadnt tried, but alas it hasnt worked, i took the batteries out, even took the remote apart to see if anything had gone wrong but the tv still flicked through the channels. the buttons on the tv all seem to be fine, im thinking there must be something wrong with internally tht must set it to do it, thanks for your help though and if your or anyone else has another tips they would be greatly received.
