Does anyone know a reliable substitute for a RCA horizontal output transistor part number 230760 ? I have had it order for three months
I dont think it's coming in. on the transistor it says S2055N it says it is a NTE2636 cant seem to get that either. Maybe a Sony substitute?
Any help will be appreciated.
Oh wow, I can understand wanting the original, but this transistor, my freinds tell me, is no longer available. Use the NTE or use this chart im sending the link to, to compare the NTE to a 2SD type.. The data for the NTE is at http://www.NTE.com and enter the number you gave me and look up the data and compare to this chart.http://members.tripod.com/~Malzev/comp/transist.htm#2sd Good luck , and please let us know how you made out. PS.- Do not forget to use plenty of heat sink grease on the replacement device!!
I want to thank you so much. I have been looking for this sub for so long.
I used your'e chart , it took me about an hour, but I found the match,
it turned out to be a 2SD1880 that I had in stock. It runs fairly cool
put it this way, the vertical output runs twice as hot. The TV is fixed.
I am sure that I will be using this quite a bit in the future.
Thanks again, Tom
Tom, Glad to hear. Hope you enjoyed the sight and Im sure you will see more here that will help you or your freinds.
