No I am afraid cleaning the printed circuit board will not fix this set my friend. You will need to first trouble shoot the power supply and or as well as the sweep power supply. This set is common for capacitors in the sweep supply to get leaky or open up and this does cause your problem. You will need to also check and see if the horizontal output transistor is shorted as if it is most of the time on this model, the flyback is shorted also. If you have no TV repair experience, play it safe and take the set ito a shop for an estimate. Good Luck and let us know how you make out with this repair.
