Insignia 32"LCD Flat Screen won't turn on after it is turned off

I have a 32" LCD Insignia Flat Screen TV and I'm have trouble turning the tv on again.

I turn my tv off and when we want to turn it on again it try's to turn on, but a couple of seconds after the on light goes on it just goes back to the off mode. After leaving it un-pluged for a long period of time it would come back on and stay on, but now it want evencome on at all. Power light changes from red to blue and the screen starts to come on with a glow, but shut down imediateley and the power light goes back to red. Is this a simple repair problem, or will I need a specialist to come and fix it?

If this is not a simple fix, can you recommend who I can take it to for help in Southern California area, preferabley north Orange County or south LA County?

Update 11/13/06 Best Buy has the service but they say the part is on back order. Thanks for the advice to remind them of the class action suit, I will let them know they can still replace my set. As for what is really wrong they are not even positive the part they ordered will correct the problem.

I am having the same exact

I am having the same exact issue with my Insignia LCD tv. I have no idea what the problem is but Insignia isn't helping much with determining the issue. My warrenty just ended 3 weeks ago and i have been having this issue for 4 days now. Any kind of help on what the problem may be will help.

Have both of you went to this

Have both of you went to this website here yet.  I hear you have to be persistant with this compaNY.  Even if the set is out of warranty, it should not matter, as there should still some sort of repair network available to the consumer.  If there is not report this company to the Fedaral Trade Commission.  They I have heard, helps out alot of peeps who buys this electronic equipment from those distibutors who dumps it onto our shores.  They have to provide some sort of support case closed.  Good Luck, and let us know how you made out regarding this matter.

More Best Buy %$*^ ! If you

More Best Buy %$*^ ! If you live in California, Call the company and remind them of the Song-Beverly act. It REQUIRES companies to have readily available parts and information for ANY shop to effect a repair. I promose you they will pay attention. If they can't fix it they must replace it!

I also have an insignia lcd,

I also have an insignia lcd, but in 52".The set is about 3 years old and started shuting off and coming back on by itself this evening.I noticed alot of dust covering the vent holes located on the back of the set. I took my air compressor and blew the dust off from all the vents and so far the set has not shut off by itself since. Im not sure if this is the answer to your problem, but blocking the vents cause the electrical components to overheat.
