Woke up to find a small moth (I think) had crawled about 10" down between my screen and protective cover (outside clear plastic cover) and died (or has been sleeping for a week), I am trying to figure out how to remove this cover, Hitachi Ultravision 53SDX89B, even called 1 800 hitachi, they could'nt (or would'nt) help, was told it can't be done other than from a service center, and of corse the service centers won't help, they tell me to call hitachi, so I'm stuck in their loop, was hoping someone here has run into this before, I'm sure this is not a first, the set is great other than this darn bug, thanks in advance for any and all help. Don, Im sorry man as these sets , even the same manufacturer has differant ways to disassemble the screen and front covers. I do not have this model in stock, but a visit to http://www.servicemanuals.net and you should have all the info you need. If they do not show it when you click on service manuals the enter your model number, there is an 800 number to call, and they will or should be able to get you one. The PDF downloads are great and cheap too. Let us know how you made out and good luck.
