To Anyone Who Might Be Able to Help:
I am the owner of a slightly dated (vintage 1997) Sony Trinitron television set. The power supply (a slide in - slide out unit) circuit board crapped out. I have been searching various TV Repair sites and some of the connected parts warehouses for the board without much luck and was wondering if anyone out there might be able to help? I have been told such circuit boards are likely no longer availible due to the age of the TV but thought it worth the chance as other than this event the TV has been perfect since purchase. Shame to toss it out without even a little effort.
Sandrad, Thes boards are usually Not replaced as an assymbly.. There is a place called PTS that repairs printed circuit board. you should try to call them and see if they can repair the board for you. I have checked several places and these boards ared no longer available. If you want the set still your going to have to have the set fixed if PTS wont fix the board for you. Although how do you know the board is bad?? The horizontal sweep supply could also be at fault. Let us know how you made out and Good Luck
