i have a panasonic ct 2701 tv that when turned on it has white lines on the screen that after awhile they go to the top of the screen sometimes therers 2 lines at the top and some times theres four or five lines how can i fix this problem and can you send me step by step pictures of the board and instructions on how to fix the problem the lines seem to be folding the rest of the screen is fine only aboye 1-1/2 to 2inches at the top of the screen has the problem thanks.
.What you need first to do is get the schematic, and then we can assist you in what parts could cause this problem. I dont have a manual, as they do cost. Owners manuals are free most of the time on line. If your not a tech though, there is a lot of high voltage inside these sets, even if they have been unplugged for awhile. Your also going to need a multimeter a solder gun or iron, a capacitor checker and the know how to solder and unsolder printed circuit boards. A TV set is not a place to be experimenting with. Watch for my repair article in a few days.....I'm going to explain how to fix this common problem. I'm assuming that you have some soldering experience if not you need to practice on an old set. Also you will need to remove the chassis and possibly the high voltage lead to the picture tube, but I will be giving some tips on how to do that too.
