My new Samsung LCD gets a green band in the centre after standby!?

Hi, Ive had my Samsung LE32R74BD a few days and i've got a strange problem with it. After the tv has been either turned off at the mains or in standby for a while or even playing a dvd when I return to watch TV either through the analogue aerial or my NTL box I get a starange green band going from top to bottow of the screen filling over half the screen and the rest of the screen outside this band is fine! Strangely though if i watch tv via the built in freeview in the tv the picture is always fine, even when analogue and ntl are green!

I've found one way to fix the problem is to turn the tv and ntl box off 5 or six times and suddenly the green band disappears and everything is fine, but then it will return the next morning or whatever!

My ntl is connected via scart and I was wondering whther any1 had had a similiar problem? I dont think there is anything wrong with the tv as it does work fine once the green has gone but having to turn it on and off loads of times before I watch it is a bit annoying!

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi,

Hi,

I have a similar problem,  except I would describe the picture as "scrambled" rather than having a "green band". As in your case, turning the TV on - off one or more times does the trick but, as you say, it sure is annoying. I have had the tuner card replaced but it seems that the problem did not go away. There is clue there, but I am not sure I know what that is.
