Hi, I have a 4 year old Toshiba laptop with s-video output. I connected the laptop with a Toshiba TV 28YT56 (28") via the s-video input plug. I also connected the audio.
<> After
switching display to TV, I can see my desktop on the TV, so this works
fine. The problem occurs when trying to watch a DVD. The DVD player
opens, I load a DVD, and it plays fine on the laptop. But the display
on the TV is black! The sound works fine, by the way.
<> So
what is the problem here? It seems that DVDs and AVIs both have the
problem. I tested several DVD players (WinDVD4, PowerDVD 6) and the
DivX player. The display on the TV is always black.
<> Do I need other software? Or other cables? Any ideas?
I use Win XP Pro SP2 and have a NVidia GeForce4 420 Go video
card. I updated the driver to the latest version (from 2003, could not
find a newer one).
Thanks!
