Hello,
I have a 21" Toshiba colour t.v. 21S23B3, and apart from the picture seeming too big for the screen, (e.g. half the weather girl is missing when she stands left of screen, or the top of someone's hair is cut off) the scrolling banners on Sky News and BBC News 24 are almost impossible to read.
Anyone any idea what causes this, and how I might resolve the problem?

Did this problem all of a suddenly happen and the picture got real big?
No, I bought the set back in June, and I have always had this problem, and I have had two providers since then: Sky, and Ntl.
I also have this problem with my Toshiba 36A40 screen, just happened when my remote got pressed against the armchair, tv shut off. When I turned it on the picture screen was too big, cannot read news at the bottom of screen, tops of heads are missing if they are standing and cannot read sports scores etc.

Sounds like you are in a zoom mode, there is a picture mode, it is designed to change the shape of the picture depending on what you are viewing, it is usaly labled display or somthing simular to that on the remote. (there are several of these modes so you will have to toggle through them by pressing that button multiple times)
