IItronics IMP-65

I received a 1g player at xmas and have had no problems with it , so when my wife wanted one for holidays we bought another but it has altered subtly . On my original the backlight skips through seven colours but you can choose permanent colour from a menu . On the new one there is no menu for backlight colour and the constantly changing background combined with tiny writing is just too much . Anybody any ideas?
