I have a mits. 55613 tv with dvi input. I just bought a sony dvp-cx995v dvd player with hdmi output. I am using a hdmi-dvi conversion cable but get no picture on the dvi input. the dvi input is hdcp and EIA-861 compatable. I have tried another cable and unplugging the tv, but to no avail. any ideas?
I talked to a mitsubishi tech, he said the dvi input is not compatable with newer versions of hdmi, which also includes hd-dvd and blu-ray players will not work either. however I found out that the hughes hr10-250 directv hd tivo unit does work, it has an early version of hdmi.
