When in the middle of a movie, my tv suddenly distorted and the picture bowed from the bottom and top as well as cast rainbow like colors along the edge. The picture is still visable, but kind of blury with a 3D affect to it, which also has a little green, blue and red outlines.
WOW! Must be the week all convergence amps are going out. Your convergence IC's have bit the dust. The way it sounds is the fuseable resistyors are bad as well. I myself have replace 14 IC's this week alone! for local peeps. Call your local repair person and ask what they will charge for 2 convergence IC with labor. Unless of course you have electronic repair experience, then you can replace the STK type IC's yourself and save a bunch of dough. Good Luck
