Well If the sets blinking on and off at a steady rate like clockwork, yor problem is is the power supply regulation circuit or the HI Voltage shutdown circuit. If its intermittantly shutting off and starting back up again it could still be a power supply componet falure but most likly a cold solder connection in the horizontal sweep/Hi Voltage circuit. Without the proper tools and equipmment, this repair is not for the user or consumer to repair as this set is all solid state and there are no user serviceable parts inside this set. Find a shop that give a low est or maybe free and applies the estimate to the repairs. Good Luck
This most likely is the power supply, since it has protection if will start up but then shut down if there's a short, so that's why it's going on and off. If this was an old tube tv you could do the work yourself, however now days it's a switching power supply and you need some knowledge.
