I have a 33 inch flat screen philips tv,which switches itself off after about an hour and wont switch back on for about 15 minuets and then switches off again help please
First is that you have a thermal fault......as the flat screen warms up a component or a soldered joint is going open circuit.
Second is that the powersupply is giving an out of range voltage ...possibly due to the 'first' or a component is faulty but only shows symptoms after the screen has warmed up.
When you say the screen goes off...do you mean the power LED goes off or does it go into standby mode?
Even for an engineer these days there is very little that is servicable in flat screens.
The question then arises is the flat screen still under warranty?
The fault you describe is tricky even for a qualified person.
