am in the process of purchasing a used Canon GL2. I know the model has been praised, but has also had some unsatisfied customers due to cassette handling problems (ie. eject cassette warning on LCD) The seller has agreed to go through escrow.com and allow for a one day inspection period. While his low asking price for this prosumer cam is sweet, it also turns on warning bells, hence the request for an inspection day. I would like to take it to a Radio Shack or Best Buy to see if they would inspect it for me. If that falls through, what things should I do to make sure it is not mechanically or electronically faulty? Any advice would be extremely appreciated.
