panasonic NV-GS50 tape not playing.

I recorded the pictures with the functions LP - 16 bit working for 1.30 mts.
When i try to play it on the camcorder/TV it skips all the recorded information on the tape and goes to the blank tape position. The counter always displays as 0.00.00 . I couldnt able to play any of the recorded information. But the function of tape rewind/forward wind/play everything works, except there is no picture/counter display.
Can anyone able to tell me how to make it work?Any change in the options? many times it also told me to PRESS RESET BUTTON and when i did it, still doesnt work.
CAN ANYONE HELP IN THIS PLEASE???
