I have a JVC AV32-D303 TV and my kids were playing with the remote control and somehow got into the service menu. Now I can't select any of the aux inputs. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there a way to to back to a factory preset? I'd perfer not to spend $30.00 on a service manual. Help
I am trying to figure out how to get into the service menu myself. I have an AV-32D502. Did you ever figure out what was going on? Shoot me an email jka1100@aol
Most televisions made today have electronic service adjustments. This means that adjustments like picture geometry, white balance, and color presets are adjusted via on screen displays, using the remote control or front panel controls. For complete details, you'll need a service manual, available from the manufacture's parts department. PLEASE NOTE: Without proper documentation and training, you can probably do quite a good job of messing up your television set, perhaps even damaging it. Don't mess around with the service mode adjustments unless you know what you're doing and have the service manual to guide you. Once you enter service mode the first thing you should do is record all the original values BEFORE you change anything! - This is the only way to restore the television to its original (factory default) state should it become necessary to do so.
With TV powered ON press: [DISPLAY] and [VIDEO STATUS] on the remote at the same time.-or-
Press the [SLEEP TIMER] key and set the SLEEP TIMER for "0" MIN. While the SLEEP TIMER information is still on screen, press the [DISPLAY] key and [VIDEO STATUS] key of the remote control unit at the same time to enter the SERVICE MENU.
Exit the service menu by twice pressing the [EXIT] key on the remote.
Good Luck and let us know how you made out.
