Sony SPP-933 Cordless Phone Problems

Hey I am from Bombay, India
I am using a Sony SPP-933 Cordless Phone Gifted to me by my Brother in law staying in US, But from few days, the handset has stopped working
Means When I press the talk button on the Handset, I get five beeps
The technician said that the handset is not able to receive the signal from base phone as an IC is got spoiled
This IC is diffcult to find in India,
Is there any way I can search for this IC or purchase it online on any website
The technician gave me the code for the IC
