3/3/06 - My son purchased a RCA RS2652 in January 2006. It worked great. About 3 weeks later, it suddenly will not recognize the CDs in the trays. I have tried a variety of commercial CDs and it will not work. When the CD tray closes it will review each disc tray and the display reads "No Disc" after reviewing eack of the 5 trays. This happens no matter the number of CDs loaded. I have also tried a CD "cleaner" and it too made no difference. All other components of the unit function flawlessly.
It has not been moved since installation except to locate the model number.
Any thoughts on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

RCA RS2652 / RS 2652 -- Will not Recognize CDs
I have an RCA RS-253TK Audio System w/ a 5 cd changer & it's doing the same thing. I've tried everything & have even taken it in to a local repair shop & they seem to think that they fixed it & it's not. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
The STRANGEST THING: The CD player was turned on yesterday (3/15/06) (as normal) and it recognized the CD in the tray and played. I don't know why or how. Today, it is still working. I have no idea why it now works or why it stopped working form several weeks.
i'm having the same problem, it says no disc, does anyone have an answer, thanks
