Registering Panasonic KX-TG2422W Handset with base

Hi, I am a new user of this forum. I have brought a Panasonic KX-TG2422W Cordless. It comes with 2 handsets.

Whenever I am trying to use it, it gives a error message "No link to base Unit". As per the manual I have followed every step and tried registering the handset, but unfortunately I am unable to register the handset with the base. Whenever I am trying to do that it errors out.

I dont know whats the problem. Is it because I am in India where the 2.4 GHZ frequency doesnt work.

Any help on this is highly appreciated.
