6 year old rear projection Mitsubishi VS-50605. After the TV has been off for for a few hours the picture is wavey for the first 5 minutes. Is this an easy fix or is it time for a new TV?
Very very common problem with these projection sets. Its a capacitor or a combination of more then one thats drying out or getting leaky in the main power supply as well as the sweep derived power supply. Best thing is to use an ESR(Effective Series Resistance) type tester. if your not famililar with this, then it would be best to get a pro to assit you with this repair. Good Luck
