2 weeks one way or the other probably isn't going to have an effect on your battery if it's sitting unused. I wouldn't leave it plugged in and one, but other than that you should be fine. You can either take the battery out of the device completely and/or make sure that it is not plugged in while you're gone. No big worries on this one.
