I just bought an RCA Lyra (RD1028) and it has a "sample" or test song already loaded on it. I loaded a couple of tune last night to test it out and that was fine. But, I tried to delete that test/sample song and it won't let me. It says the player has an error reading the data.
Anyone have any advice or tips on how to do this??
Thanks!!

Deleting "Sample" Song from my Lyra
Are you trying to delete it from the player directly or delete it using your computer? You should use your computer to delete the songs. Can you delete the other songs besides the sample?
Ron,
I was trying to delet it using the software that come with the Lyra. I actually finally did get it out of my player by going into "my computer" and opening up the drive that the Lyra was on (my G drive). I then just deleted the song into my recycle bin and it worked!!
Thanks!!
Glad it worked for you! If you're not working with a lot of songs, it is often easier, as you found, to just access the player directly with your computer rather than using the software.
