Philips portable cd player stopped working

I bought a philips portable cd player about a couple of months ago and suddenly it doesn't recognize any cd. I will get a "no disc" message no matter what cd i put into it. I even tried a lens cleaner but it wont recognize it. Anyone ever have this happen? Any help would be appreciated.
