JVC video camera delay question

I have an old JVC GR-AXM710 video camera (about 7 years old) and teher 2 problems with that camera since I dropped it. The snap shots feature won't work anymore.When I click on the botton won't take snap shots and also it won't connect to the PC so I can download the pics I took before it broke. I also can't get to the menu to see the pictures.
The second problem is that there is a delay wjen I turn the camera on and when I switch from play to record for exemple. There are a few good seconds delay, about 30-40 seconds before it turn on or I change the mode.
Anyone knows if theer is quick fix for that or how to reset the camera? I couldn't find any reset botton anywhere on teh camera.
